CHK & Local Goverment - Local Development Frameworks
Numerous questions are being raised in local authorities about the Local Development Framework, particularly in regard to the Proposals Map.
Two things remain certain
- the paper version will continue to be the statutory document within the LDF
- an interactive version of the Proposal Map, that meets e-government targets and the Pendleton criteria, is to be on the council’s website.
The work done by CH&K to develop interactive mapping using the CHKcartoplus system has put CH&K at the head of the field when it comes to deciding how the publication of the LDF proposals map will be done.
CHKcartoplus is ideally suited to the production of presentation quality maps for each and every stage of the LDF.
The advent of Local Development Frameworks (LDF) in England and (LDP) Wales and what is to come in Scotland means that new challenges have been given to local authorities to produce a continual revision of the Proposals Map for both the web based interactive mapping and the statutory paper maps. The continued development of CHKcartoplus is ensuring Cook Hammond & Kell will continue to be the number one company when you think of interactive, presentation quality, map production for your LDF.
